Structural surveys are comprehensive examinations of a building structure, identifying any issues or defects that needs to be address to the main building elements such as roof, chimneys, elevations, floor, walls and ceilings. Defects will be noted within the report and advice on remedial works and budget costs included.
Although, the structure of a building is the main focus of any survey whether it is RICS level 2 or level 3 or structural survey, the structural survey format offers a pares down version when compared to a Level 3 Building Survey and can be more useful, particularly where this is for developers or if the property is going to be renovated as there will be a large amount of information including with a level 2 or 3 RICS Survey which will not be relevant to the client.
